All about Aloe Vera

Did you know there are around 400 species of Aloe plants found throughout the world?

They’re each beneficial in their own way, but there is only one species that has been recognized for millennia for its magically soothing abilities - Aloe Barbadensis Miller.

Although it looks like a cactus, it’s actually a succulent, part of the lily family, and related to onions, garlic and asparagus.

As one of the oldest recognized botanicals, records of Aloe exist on Sumerian clay tablets from as early as 2200 BC; Aloe Vera has long been lauded throughout history for its natural soothing, cooling and moisturizing abilities. It is known for soothing minor burns, comforting and moisturizing stressed skin, and even helping to aid in your skin’s natural ability to regenerate itself.

I’m sure many of you would have used aloe vera products whilst on holiday or seen products in the high street which include aloe vera. Everything from ladies tights to toilet rolls now seem to contain some form of aloe!

However you won’t find our products in the high street and the very first thing to notice with our products is Aloe Vera is the Number 1 ingredient – Top of the list.

Forever Living Products is known as The Aloe Vera Company and owns 100% of its Aloe plantations in the Rio Grande Valley of southern Texas and 100% of its 6,500-acre plantation in the Dominican Republic—the largest in the world. In the Dominican Republic they have over 30 million plants and harvest, by hand, over 1 million pounds of Aloe ever week.

Forever also owns the manufacturing and processing of the aloe so we know our customers are getting the very best quality. Direct from plant to you.

Aloe vera is believed to help support immune function and skin health, it’s praised for its cleansing and purifying properties, and it’s an ideal digestive aid since it can help support gastrointestinal health. Forever proudly uses the aloe gel, not the sap. There’s little evidence of any health benefits from aloe vera sap, which forms the bitter part of the leaf, but the inner gel is thought to be the most beneficial part – the higher the percentage found in products, the better! Fortunately, Forever Aloe Vera Gel is over 95% stabilised aloe gel

Don’t just take our word for it, as all of the products are backed by the International Aloe Science Council Seal of Approval, not only that, they all have a 60 day money back guarantee.
